Studying Literature Today - New perspectives and methodologies to give students impact and a voice
Descrizione
The webinar will show how students can be given impact and a voice in the very process of studying literature rather than being considered as passive recipients of instruction. It will focus on two great authors, William Shakespeare and Mary Shelley, and it aims to present innovative methods which stimulate students to participate actively in the construction of meaning and therefore appreciate literary studies.
The various tasks presented will show how important for linguistic and cultural development is to appeal to the empathic and cognitive skills of students, for example with recitative presentations of texts, engaging examples of storytelling and videos of young readers that present contemporary works reinterpreting the great works of the past.
